Gault Center op-ed in Teen Vogue

On May 13, 2022, Teen Vogue published an op-ed by the Gault Center’s HyeJi Kim, “The Juvenile Justice System Punishes Black and Brown Youth for Minor Infractions.”

Making sure that teenagers know about the harms and racial disparities inherent in the juvenile legal system, along with the history of the system, is vital to ensuring the liberty interests of court-involved youth.
